Rapper Soulja Boy has renewed his public feud with Blueface after Blueface offered to pay the rent of Jackie Martinez, the mother of Soulja Boy’s child. The conflict, which began in late 2023, escalated from a dispute over musical legacy to a series of personal allegations, a defamation lawsuit, and a court-ordered financial judgment. The core of the ongoing dispute traces back to a claim Blueface made on a podcast, which ultimately led to legal action and a default judgment against him.

The initial spark occurred on November 12, 2023, when Blueface appeared on the “Open Thoughts” podcast with Funny Marco and stated he would defeat Soulja Boy in a Verzuz battle. Soulja Boy responded on Instagram Live, and the exchange quickly became personal. The situation escalated dramatically when Blueface posted on social media that he had a sexual encounter with Jackie Martinez on June 11, 2022, the day before her baby shower, and suggested he might be the father of her son, Keandre, who was born in September 2022.

In response to the public claims, Jackie Martinez sent a cease and desist letter, which Blueface publicly dismissed. On December 17, 2023, both rappers participated in a chaotic Instagram Live session where they argued about the allegations and a proposed physical fight that did not occur. Five days later, on December 22, 2023, Jackie Martinez filed a defamation lawsuit against Blueface in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking $10 million in damages for defamation, false light, and emotional distress.
Blueface was incarcerated in early 2024 on a probation violation and never filed a response to the lawsuit. As a result, the court issued a default judgment against him on April 1, 2025. Judge Peter A. Hernandez awarded Jackie Martinez a total of $131,655, which included damages and legal fees. The court also ordered performing rights organizations BMI and ASCAP to redirect Blueface’s music royalties to Martinez to satisfy the debt, effectively garnishing his catalog.

After his release from prison in November 2025, Blueface faced a garnished income and a house reportedly listed for sale. In January 2026, he threatened to appeal the judgment, though no appeal has been confirmed filed. The conflict resurfaced in June 2026 when Jackie Martinez posted about having rent issues and stated Soulja Boy had blocked her. Blueface then publicly offered to pay her rent, a move widely interpreted as a clout-driven insult. Jackie Martinez later clarified her rent was handled and confirmed the judgment remains unpaid.
